Endodontics is concerned with the interior of the tooth including what is referred to as ‘dental pulp’, and the tissues surrounding the tooth roots.
The most commonly administered endodontic treatment – and the one patients are most likely to receive – is a root canal treatment. During this treatment, we treat infection of the dental pulp that has likely taken hold as a result of bacteria entering the pulp due to a cavity or a deep filling.
If you are experiencing increased pain, a persistent toothache, increased sensitivity, difficulty chewing, swollen gums, or discolouration of a tooth, then you may need endodontic treatment. If this is the case, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at East Village Dental.Back to Advanced Dentistry
